Turkey’s Automotive Export Record in 2025
Turkey’s automotive industry achieved exports worth 34 billion USD in the January–October period of 2025, marking the highest ten‑month export figure in its history.
According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly, automotive exports during this period increased by 11.6 percent compared to the same timeframe last year, accounting for 17.5 percent of the country’s total exports. Turkey’s overall exports in the same period rose by 3.9 percent, surpassing 224 billion USD.
Automotive exports in the same period of previous years stood at 30.5 billion USD in 2024, 28.7 billion USD in 2023, and 25 billion USD in 2022. In 2021 and 2020, the figures were 23.9 billion USD and 20.1 billion USD, respectively. The sector recorded 25.4 billion USD in 2019 and 26.3 billion USD in 2018.
In the first ten months of 2025, Germany ranked as the leading destination for Turkey’s automotive exports with 5.6 billion USD. It was followed by France (3.9 billion USD), the United Kingdom (3.4 billion USD), Spain (2.9 billion USD), and Italy (2.7 billion USD).
