188 Political Parties Active in Turkey
According to the latest statistics from the Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation, Turkey hosts 188 active political parties, with the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) leading the list with 11,543,301 members.
As announced on the website of the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office of Turkey, the Justice and Development Party ranks first in the country in terms of membership numbers.
Following the Justice and Development Party, the Republican People’s Party (CHP) has 1,922,757 members, and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) has 498,021 members, placing them in the next ranks.
Among the parties with parliamentary groups in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Good Party (İYİ Party) has 391,731 members, the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (HEDEP) has 16,228 members, and the Felicity Party (Saadet Party) has 314,086 registered members.
