Turkey’s Exports Reach 396 Billion Dollars in 2025
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on Saturday at a ceremony held at the Istanbul Congress Center that Turkey’s exports of goods and services in 2025 reached 396.5 billion dollars, breaking the historical record of the Republic of Turkey and surpassing the set target.
Erdoğan stated:
“Our export target for 2025 was 390 billion dollars. Today, I proudly declare that our country’s exports have reached 396.5 billion dollars, exceeding this goal. Our target for 2026 is a total of 410 billion dollars in exports.”
According to the President, goods exports in the past year increased by 4.5 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 273.4 billion dollars, while services exports also played a significant role in this achievement. In December alone, monthly exports hit 26.4 billion dollars, setting a new record.
Erdoğan also highlighted the country’s economic growth, noting that Turkey’s Gross Domestic Product in the third quarter of 2025 rose to 1.538 trillion dollars, with the economy recording uninterrupted positive growth for 21 consecutive quarters.
He added:
“Turkey today is the fourth largest automotive production hub in Europe and the twelfth in the world. Our defense exports also reached 9.87 billion dollars in 2025, and Turkey has become the fifth largest trading partner of the European Union.”
President Erdoğan concluded his remarks by saying:
“What we have achieved over the past 23 years is the guarantee of our future successes.”
