Turkey’s Gürbulak Customs Gate on Iran border officially opens
The head of Turkey’s customs companies announced that the opening of the Gürbulak Customs Gate near the Iran border will play a key role in expanding economic cooperation between Iran and Turkey.
Arın Parmaksız on Friday at the inauguration ceremony of this border terminal with Iranian officials in attendance emphasized: “This border is not merely a crossing, but rather Turkey’s economic logistics artery.”
Referring to the enhancement of economic interactions with Iran, he added: Previously, 200,000 transit trucks used to pass through this border crossing annually, but with the improvement of service processes, 45,000 transit trucks have crossed it in the last three months alone.
The Turkish official, pointing to the modern reconstruction of this customs gate, stated: “Customs is not limited to modern architecture and stylish buildings; rather, this modern approach must also be reflected in the speed and quality of service delivery.”
Parmaksız went on to describe the Gürbulak Customs Gate as “a gateway to the world via Iran.”
It is worth noting that the Gürbulak Customs Gate is located opposite the Bazergan Customs Gate and is recognized as one of the most important transit corridors in the region.
