AKP Spokesperson Omer Celik Responds to PKK Disbandment and Attack on CHP Leader
Justice and Development Party (AKP) Spokesperson Omer Celik recently commented on two important matters: the disbandment of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) and the attack on Ozgur Ozel, leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP).
Referring to the recent call from Imrali, Celik stated: “Following this call, we expect to see the terrorist organization dissolve itself and surrender its weapons in the coming days.” He described this development as “a turning point for a terror-free Turkey.”
In another part of his statement, Celik responded to the recent attack on Ozgur Ozel, calling it “an attack on democracy.” He emphasized: “Today I will refrain from criticizing CHP. Our only message is to condemn this attack and wish Mr. Ozel a speedy recovery.”
These remarks followed a meeting of the AKP Central Executive Committee chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
