News sources reported that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Masoud Pezeshkian, the Presidents of Turkey and Iran, have held talks and consultations regarding the regional situation and a ceasefire.
According to a statement from the Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate, Erdoğan emphasized the necessity of maximizing the use of upcoming negotiations between the United States and Iran to achieve peace and sustainable stability during this phone call.
The President of Turkey said, “Ankara has made significant and intensive efforts alongside other countries to achieve this ceasefire.”
Erdoğan further emphasized the importance of thwarting the actions of those who attempt to sabotage this process.
The statement added that Turkey is ready to provide any assistance in the new phase in cooperation with friendly countries.
