Erdoğan and Trump to Hold Talks on Monday
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey, in response to questions from journalists after performing Friday prayers in Istanbul, stated that on Monday he will hold talks with Donald Trump, President of the United States.
He said: “We will have the opportunity to discuss issues between Russia and Ukraine as well as the matter of Palestine.”
Erdoğan referred to the developments in Gaza and said: “The actions of Netanyahu, the Pharaoh of our time, will not go unanswered. For he has committed great injustices against countless people of all ages.”
He continued: “The condition of those children who, amid wind, rain, and mud, live in places resembling everything but tents—their cries will certainly not leave Netanyahu unpunished.”
The Turkish President, pointing to the massive turnout in the pro-Palestine march in Istanbul, emphasized: “At the very moment of the New Year’s arrival, we witnessed a historic gathering (in support of Palestine) on the Galata Bridge. This also shows that Palestine is not alone.”
