Erdoğan: Step by Step, We Are Moving Toward a Terrorism-Free Türkiye
The President of Türkiye emphasized that those who have shaped the country’s domestic and foreign policy for years by relying on the “stick of terrorism” will see their efforts fail this time.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, speaking today (Saturday) at the closing ceremony of the Justice and Development Party Academy in Istanbul, said: “Those who for decades have been accustomed to determining Türkiye’s political course through the tool of terrorism are now striving in vain. From this point onward, there will be no turning back.”
Referring to the goal of a “terrorism-free Türkiye,” he added: “We are moving step by step and steadily toward our objectives, regardless of what the pessimists may say.”
Erdoğan also noted: “At a time when some are attempting to redraw the region’s borders with blood and tears, Türkiye will not allow the old and dangerous ‘divide and rule’ scenario to be staged again.”
He stressed that, as a powerful and influential country in the region, Türkiye will neutralize any attempt to create division and insecurity.
