Erdogan’s Message on the Third Anniversary of the February Earthquakes
The President of Türkiye, in a message marking the third anniversary of the February 6, 2023 earthquakes, honored the memory of the victims and announced the reconstruction of the affected areas.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, in a message on the third anniversary of the deadly February 6, 2023 earthquakes, commemorated the victims of the disaster and declared that his government had fulfilled its promise to rebuild the earthquake-stricken regions.
In his message, Erdoğan emphasized: “Our brothers and sisters who lost their lives following two major earthquakes three years ago will forever live on in our memory. We promised our nation to honor their memory, support the survivors, and rebuild the devastated cities. Today, by the grace of God, in a short period of time, we have fulfilled this promise and have rebuilt and revived the damaged cities.”

In relation to this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan also issued a message. While honoring the memory of the victims of the February 6, 2023 earthquakes, it stated that the government and people of Azerbaijan have always stood by Türkiye and consider this tragedy as their own pain. The message expressed wishes for prosperity, peace, and success for the government and nation of the Republic of Türkiye.
