Erdoğan’s Reaction to the Publication of a Cartoon About the Prophet Muhammad in a Turkish Magazine
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during a meeting with members of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in Ankara, responded to the publication of a cartoon about the Prophet Muhammad in Leman magazine, stating:
“Since the day the Turkish nation embraced Islam, it has distinguished itself with its love for the Prophet. The most important characteristic of this nation is its love for the Messenger of Allah.”
Erdoğan said, “This disrespect toward our Prophet by individuals devoid of moral virtues, societal values, and decency is unacceptable.”
The Turkish President emphasized, “This is a clear act of provocation and a vile incitement disguised as humor.”
Erdoğan stressed, “Our primary duty is to protect the values and precious legacy of our beloved Prophet, who illuminates our path and fills our hearts with compassion. We consider this an honor.”
