Imam Jummah of Zeyniye Istanbul: Turkey stood by Iran
Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Ahad Talan, the Friday prayer leader of Zeynabieh in Istanbul and head of the Union of Shia Scholars of Turkey, stated: “During the forty-day war, the Turkish government and people announced their full support for the people of Iran.”
Hojjat al-Islam Talan, speaking on Thursday evening during the sixty-first night of the magnificent gathering of the people of Salmas, said: “You are a brave and courageous people, because for more than two months, under any circumstances, you have been defending your land and your system in the streets. May God never grant enemies access to this land, may He destroy them, and may He always keep this flag high.”
He added: “We have heard and seen that these two countries (Iran and Turkey) have been like two inseparable pieces of a single body from the very beginning; because the defeat of one leads to the defeat of the other. For this reason, during the forty-day war, the Turkish government and people announced their full support for the people of Iran. This war of yours was a war of conscience and a war of humanity; because the enemies attacked your schools and martyred many children, but you did not attack even a single one of their schools or hospitals.”
Hojjat al-Islam Talan, while paying tribute to the martyrs of this war and the victorious spirit of Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest in peace), said: “On this day, we honor the memory of the free people who were innocently martyred, as well as the memory of our martyred leader, Imam Khamenei, and the commanders who achieved martyrdom on the path of truth. We hope that God will grant them His mercy and that they will be our intercessors on the Day of Judgment.”
Referring to the sacred commonalities among Muslims, such as Mecca and Medina, he noted: “If it were not for your sacrifices and selflessness in this war, the enemy’s next step would have been the destruction of these very sanctities; because that is our qibla and the source of our spiritual inspiration. But you offered martyrs, and their pure blood insured those shrines so that no one could violate them.”
The Friday prayer leader of Zeynabieh Istanbul further stated: “You, the people of Iran, gave this courage and confidence to the entire world. Wherever there are American military bases anywhere in the world, before this, no one could even throw a stone at them, nor was such a thing done; but you fired missiles at them, and you shattered the false belief in the public consciousness that America and Israel cannot be attacked. This action of yours caused the German Chancellor and some European countries to stand up to Trump.”
