Fidan: Israel seeks to occupy more land, not to ensure security
Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated clearly on Friday at a diplomatic meeting in Antalya: “Israel is not seeking to ensure its own security, but rather to occupy more land. Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is using security merely as a pretext to achieve this expansionist goal.”
Turkey’s Foreign Minister added: “In addition to the occupied Palestinian territories of Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, Israel is now also attempting to impose control over lands belonging to Lebanon and Syria. This is an ongoing occupation and expansionism that must be halted as soon as possible.”
Fidan pointed out: “By fostering the perception that it is only seeking to protect its own security, Israel has created an illusion in the minds of the international community.”
