Reactions to the Decision of the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office to Arrest 37 Zionist Officials
The Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant for 37 Zionist officials, including the Prime Minister of the occupying regime, Benjamin Netanyahu, and two of its defense ministers, Yoav Gallant and Yisrael Katz, on charges of “genocide.”
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, in a statement, welcomed this decision, describing it as a reaffirmation of the principled stance of the Turkish people and leadership in supporting justice, humanity, and solidarity with the Palestinian people. Hamas also called on countries worldwide and judicial institutions to pursue the leaders of the Zionist regime wherever they are, bring them before courts, and hold them accountable for crimes against humanity.
The Palestinian Embassy in Turkey likewise welcomed the decision of the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office, stating that the arrest warrant for Netanyahu and other Zionist officials was a consequence of the regime’s crimes in Gaza and its attacks against the ships of the “Samud Fleet.”
In contrast, the Zionist regime’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, in a social media post, described the arrest warrant for Netanyahu as “media deception” and claimed that Turkey’s judicial system had turned into a tool for the political objectives of the country’s president.
