Removal of Mount Ararat Symbol from Armenia’s Border Stamps
The Government of Armenia has announced that, as of November 1, 2025, the image of Mount Ararat will be removed from the border stamps placed in passports.
According to Armenian media reports, this decision was made as part of new changes in the design of entry and exit stamps. Under this change, the symbol of Mount Ararat will no longer be used on border stamps.
Arsen Torosyan, Armenia’s Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, explained this move by stating: “The reason for this decision is very simple; the new stamps are aligned with the modern requirements of border crossings as well as with the true ideology of Armenia.”
