Turkey condemns Israels actions in Quneitra Province
Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, condemned in the strongest terms the resumption of Israel’s activities along the so-called “Sufa 53” line in Syria’s Quneitra Province, which, according to Ankara, is aimed at creating new and imposed realities in Syria.
The statement said: “We condemn in the strongest terms the resumption of Israel’s activities in Syria’s Quneitra Province along what is called the ‘Sufa 53 line,’ the erosion of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, and this country’s actions to create new and imposed realities in Syria.”
Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also called on the international community to take effective and decisive measures without delay to compel Israel to end its expansionist policies that escalate tension in the region and to withdraw from occupied Syrian territories.
The statement further stressed that Ankara will continue its firm support for Syria’s sovereignty, political unity, and territorial integrity, and will pursue the necessary steps in this direction together with regional countries.
