Turkey Warns About Fake News Against Relations with Azerbaijan
The Center for Combating Disinformation, affiliated with Turkey’s Presidential Communications Directorate, announced that Turkey-Azerbaijan relations, built on shared history and culture and brotherhood, continue resolutely in all areas.
In a statement published on its official social media pages, the Center announced that some international media outlets and social media pages have published biased and intentional content aimed at harming the strong ties, strategic unity, and the concept of “one nation, two states” between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
The statement noted that such content is a clear psychological operation aimed at harming the long-standing relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries and disrupting regional peace and stability, and emphasized:
“Turkey and Azerbaijan continue their relations, built on shared history and culture and brotherhood, resolutely in all areas. Efforts to mislead public opinion through distorted narratives about strategic cooperation, joint actions, and ongoing cooperation between the two countries will not achieve their goal.”
At the end of the statement, the public was asked not to pay attention to such content created for psychological warfare purposes and to consider only official statements and news published by the relevant authorities as the basis.
