11th Nuclear Power Plants Summit Begins Tomorrow in Istanbul
The effects of rapidly increasing energy demand due to artificial intelligence and the strategic role of nuclear energy in this process will be discussed at the 11th Nuclear Power Plants Summit (NPPES) tomorrow in Istanbul.
According to a statement by the exhibition company INPPES, the 11th Nuclear Power Plants Summit will be held in Istanbul on July 1-2, 2025, under the patronage of Turkey’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, in cooperation with the Ankara Chamber of Industry and the Turkish Nuclear Industry Association.
The summit will bring together decision-makers involved in nuclear energy investments in Turkey, along with global players, domestic companies interested in seizing opportunities in this field, academics, NGOs, and local and international experts.
With over a thousand participants expected, the latest nuclear energy technologies will be introduced, and current industry developments will be examined. This year, representatives from Russia, China, South Korea, Italy, and the Czech Republic are anticipated to attend the event with broad delegations.
During various sessions at the summit, opportunities for equipment supply and commercial cooperation for the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, as well as the potential of small modular reactors (SMRs) and microreactors in Turkey and surrounding regions, will be discussed. On the sidelines of the event, bilateral meetings, exhibitions of new technologies, and the signing of cooperation agreements will also take place.
