Emphasis on national unity, criticism of opponents, and explanation of economic achievements
President Erdoğan attended the 28th General Assembly of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), delivering a comprehensive speech on national economic priorities and criticizing political opponents. The event began with Quranic recitation and featured a film showcasing achievements.
In his speech, President Erdoğan stressed Turkey’s need for national unity over polarization, stating: ‘Our nation needs embrace, not futile divisions.’

Erdoğan praised MÜSİAD as a ‘strong pillar of Turkey’s economy,’ applauding its 35-year industrial and commercial contributions. He asserted: ‘This institution supported production and employment even during sanctions and coup attempts.’
The President detailed government support programs:
Low-interest loans for farmers and exporters
A $30 billion advanced technology fund (HIT-30)
Unemployment dropping to 7.9% in March.
Erdoğan sharply criticized opposition parties—especially the Republican People’s Party (CHP)—claiming: ‘Some engage in economic espionage against national interests rather than political opposition.’ He condemned this as ‘betrayal of the Turkish people.’
The event saw high-level attendance, including Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, and senior officials. Erdoğan concluded by posing with MÜSİAD’s outgoing and incoming board members.

On the sidelines, Burak Özdemir was elected new president, while predecessor Mehmet İsmail received honors. Both pledged continued government collaboration.
