Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, announced that the new round of Iran-Europe talks at the level of deputy foreign ministers will be held on Friday, Ordibehesht 26, 1404 (May 16, 2025) in Istanbul. This meeting follows the process of Tehran’s diplomatic engagements with European countries and is planned within the framework of discussing issues related to bilateral and regional matters.
Araghchi told reporters on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting: “While pursuing indirect talks with the United States, we have also maintained our readiness for continued constructive negotiations with European parties.” He added: “Unfortunately, some European policies have created an atmosphere of isolation in the negotiations, but Iran has always emphasized interaction based on mutual respect.”

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister also referred to coordination with regional countries and said: “We have kept neighboring countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, informed about the process of negotiations with the United States. Our goal is to establish a regional understanding to ensure stability and security without the interference of foreign powers.”
