Close Race Between AK Party and CHP in Latest Poll
According to the most recent survey conducted by Asal Research in July 2025, the political competition in Turkey has intensified significantly. The poll, carried out across 26 provinces with 1,985 participants, shows a narrowing gap between the country’s two major parties.
Overall Survey Results:
– Justice and Development Party (AK Party): 33.8%
– Republican People’s Party (CHP): 32.3%
– Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party): 10.0%
– Nationalist Movement Party (MHP): 8.8%
– Good Party (İYİ Party): 4.3%
– Victory Party (Zafer Party): 3.8%
– New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Party): 2.5%
– Key Party (Anahtar Party): 1.2%
– Workers’ Party of Turkey (TİP): 1.0%
– Other parties: 2.3%
Key Findings:
– The gap between AK Party and CHP has narrowed to just 1.5 percentage points.
– DEM Party maintains its position as the third-largest political force with 10% support.
– MHP and İYİ Party continue to show a declining trend, while Zafer Party and Yeniden Refah Party remain below the electoral threshold.
– Smaller parties like TİP and Anahtar Party hover around 1% in voter support.
The survey was conducted using Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) with a 95% confidence level and a margin of error of ±2.45%.
