African Union: Condemnation of the Zionist Regime’s Action in Somalia
In response to the appointment of an ambassador by the Zionist regime in Somaliland, the African Union strongly condemned this action by Tel Aviv in a statement.
On Sunday, the African Union Commission, while condemning the appointment of an ambassador by the Zionist regime to the self-proclaimed region of “Somaliland,” emphasized the necessity of respecting the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia based on international rules and law.
The African Union made it clear that it will never recognize what is called “Somaliland” as an independent country and is committed to supporting any efforts aimed at establishing peace, stability, and national cohesion in Somalia.
Furthermore, yesterday the foreign ministers of 10 Arab and Islamic countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Turkey, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, and the Palestinian Authority, condemned in a joint statement the Zionist regime’s action of appointing an ambassador to Somaliland, calling it a clear violation of Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
