Extensive Israeli attack on Syria: five cities targeted
Last night, Israeli fighter jets carried out more than twenty airstrikes on various regions of Syria, including Damascus, Hama, Daraa, Latakia, and Quneitra. According to Syrian media reports, these attacks have caused significant financial damage.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed these attacks in a statement, declaring that they targeted Syria’s military facilities, air defense systems, and missile infrastructure. They added that they would continue their actions to protect Israel and its citizens.
According to the report of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least ten airstrikes have been carried out in the Harasta region, including a military checkpoint near a military hospital. The Syrian Al-Ikhbariya network also reported extensive financial damages but confirmed that no casualties have been reported so far.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the country’s government approved attacks on new targets in Syria. Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, and Yoav Gallant, the Defense Minister, stated in a joint declaration that the strike near the Syrian presidential palace in Damascus was a clear message to the Syrian government.
These attacks occurred following recent tensions between Druze groups and Syrian government forces. Israel had previously launched strikes on Syria under the pretext of protecting the Druze population.
