Meeting Between the President of Iran and the Emir of Qatar in Doha
Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, who has traveled to Doha at the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, to attend and deliver a speech at the extraordinary summit of leaders of Islamic countries and the Arab League, met today with the Emir of Qatar.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations as well as key regional and international developments. The extraordinary summit of leaders of Islamic countries and the Arab League is being held to address the continuation of crimes committed by the Zionist regime — including the recent attack on the meeting place of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Qatar — and to adopt a firm stance by Islamic countries against these actions.
Pezeshkian is expected, during the summit, to present the views and positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding recent regional developments and to emphasize the need for coordinated action among Islamic countries.
