Second Turkish Ship Passes Through Strait of Hormuz
The Iranian Embassy in Turkey, noting that the Strait of Hormuz is open for the passage of friendly countries, announced that the second Turkish ship has passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Embassy, on its X (formerly Twitter) account, announced coordination between the two countries for the passage of Turkish ships and stated: “Following arrangements made with relevant authorities in the Islamic Republic of Iran for safe passage, the second Turkish ship passed through the Strait of Hormuz and headed towards its final destination.”
The Iranian Embassy emphasized: “The Strait of Hormuz is open for the passage of friendly countries, and restrictions only apply to hostile countries.”
Media and officials in Ankara reported on March 22nd that the first Turkish ship passed through Hormuz with the approval and coordination of Iran. Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated in this regard that they have 15 ships in that region waiting to pass and that one of the ships was allowed to pass through the strait because it was using an Iranian port.
