Syrian and Turkish Foreign Ministries Condemn Terrorist Attack in Homs
Following an explosion in Syria’s Homs province, news sources reported that the incident occurred in a mosque during Friday prayers.
An explosion took place in the Wadi al-Dhahab neighborhood on the outskirts of Homs. Local sources also reported that a terrorist bombing occurred inside the Imam Ali Mosque in this neighborhood, with initial reports indicating that the attack was carried out as a suicide operation using several planted bombs. Three people were killed and five were injured in this explosion.
Other reports stated that the explosion occurred in the “Ali Talib Mosque” in Homs province during Friday prayers, resulting in five deaths and nine injuries. Syrian security officials described the incident as a terrorist act and announced that investigations had begun.
In a statement, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned this terrorist attack, calling it part of efforts to undermine the country’s security and stability. The statement emphasized that the explosion in the Ali Talib Mosque caused the death of eight people and injured 18 others.
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack on a mosque in Homs province. It expressed condolences to the families of the victims and the Syrian people, while reaffirming Turkey’s support for Syria’s efforts to strengthen stability and security.
