The Grand National Assembly of Turkey’s decision regarding Sırrı Süreyya Önder
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey announced that due to the health condition of the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly and the representative of the Peoples’ Democracy and Equality Party, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, parliamentary sessions will be suspended for two days.
Sırrı Süreyya Önder is a Turkmen and leftist politician, essayist, director, screenwriter, and actor from Turkey. He was elected to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey as an independent representative with the support of the Peace and Democracy Party, later officially joining this party. He subsequently became a member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party upon its formation.
