Trump: Israel and Hamas Signed the First Phase of the Peace Plan
United States President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas have agreed to implement the first phase of the peace plan, describing it as “a historic step” toward ending the Gaza war.
On Wednesday evening, Trump stated in a message on the social media platform Truth Social: “I am proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan. This agreement guarantees the release of all hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli forces to the agreed lines. This is the first step toward a strong, lasting, and eternal peace.”
He added: “All parties will be treated fairly. Today is a great day for the Arab and Muslim world, for Israel, for the countries of the region, and for the United States.”
Trump also expressed gratitude to the regional mediators, saying: “We are thankful to Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for working with us to make this historic and unprecedented event possible. Blessed are those who established peace.”
