Turkey’s 11-Month Exports to Neighboring Countries Exceed $25 Billion
According to data released by the Turkish Ministry of Trade, Turkey’s exports to its seven neighboring countries, including Iraq, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Syria, reached $25 billion 310 million during the January-November 2025 period.
This figure shows a 3.4% growth compared to the same period in 2024. In the same period, Turkey’s total exports increased by 3.7% to $247 billion 200 million.
Top Export Destinations Among Neighbors:
Iraq, with purchases of $9.3 billion, was Turkey’s largest export market in the region.
It was followed by Bulgaristan with $4.2 billion, Greece with $3.2 billion, and Georgia with $2.3 billion.
Turkey’s exports to Syria, with a remarkable growth of over 54%, experienced the highest rate of increase among neighboring countries.
Chemical industries, grains & pulses, and oilseeds claimed the largest share in Turkey’s export basket to neighboring countries during this 11-month period.
