Turkey’s Automotive Export Surge in 2025
In 2025, Turkey’s automotive industry achieved exports worth 41 billion 512 million dollars in vehicles and spare parts, setting a new annual record in the country’s export history.
According to the report released by the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters’ Association, exports in this sector increased by 11.6 percent compared to 2024, reaching 41 billion 521 million dollars. Thus, the automotive industry maintained its position as Turkey’s leading export sector for the 19th time in the past 20 years.
During this period, exports of the supply industry rose by 6 percent to 15 billion 770 million dollars, accounting for 38 percent of Turkey’s total automotive exports. Passenger car exports increased by 4 percent, commercial vehicles by 28 percent, buses, minibuses and midibuses by 30 percent, and truck tractors by 54 percent.
Germany, with imports worth 6 billion 612 million dollars and a 36 percent increase, was the largest export destination for Turkey’s automotive industry in 2025. Exports to France, Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, and Romania also rose by 17, 36, 27, 19, and 35 percent respectively.
The European Union countries, with a 72.5 percent share, remained the primary market for Turkey’s automotive exports, with total exports reaching 30 billion 110 million dollars. In the same year, exports to African countries increased by 8.5 percent and to the Americas by 25 percent, while exports to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) fell by 31 percent and to the Middle East by 20 percent.
